My Infertility Journey: From Feeling Broken to Finding Hope

Posted by Kyndle Moore on

If you would have told me five years ago that I’d struggle to get pregnant, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. I was a certified personal trainer, a specialist in pregnancy and postpartum fitness and nutrition, someone who exercised, ate well, and took care of herself. By all accounts, I was the healthiest person most of my friends knew.

My first positive was a shock —totally by accident. I wasn’t even trying. My period was late, and I took a test just to rule it out. It was positive. I remember being shocked, nervous, and excited all at once.

But seven weeks later, I miscarried. I was devastated.

It wasn’t the last time. I had multiple miscarriages, and one ended up being a suspected ectopic pregnancy. I had to get methotrexate injections to preserve my fallopian tube and spent a day in the hospital. It was emotionally exhausting, physically draining, and incredibly lonely.

What made it harder was being told, again and again, that I was fine.

"You're young. You're healthy. Keep trying. It’s just bad luck."

But I knew something was off.

I started digging deeper—because I had to. I was tired of feeling like my body was failing me, and I was tired of doctors brushing it off. That’s when I connected with a functional nutrition practitioner, and everything began to change.

Through advanced testing—like the GI Map and HTMA—I discovered that my gut and mineral health were way out of balance. I had yeast overgrowth, bacterial imbalances, poor detoxification, and mineral deficiencies that were all putting my body in a state of stress. A state that was not safe for conception.

I started looking back and realizing how long these signs had been there:

  • Hormonal acne since my teens

  • Years of birth control masking symptoms

  • Chronic BV and yeast infections

  • Digestive issues and bloating

  • Itchy scalp and skin sensitivity

I had been so focused on looking healthy that I didn’t realize my body was crying out for help.

Here’s the truth: when your body is stressed—whether it’s emotional, physical, nutritional, or environmental—reproduction is not a priority. Fertility shuts down. Digestion shuts down. The body prioritizes survival.

That’s why our work in Nourish to Nurture is so important to me. My colleague Rita and I created this program not just to help women get pregnant, but to help them restore health at the root. We combine functional testing, mineral balancing, gut healing, mindset, and more to help women understand their bodies and feel empowered again.

I was actually sitting in a fertility specialist’s office the week before I found out I was pregnant. I thought my next step would HAVE to be IUI or IVF. But i got pregnant—naturally—after implementing the very protocols we now teach. That moment will forever be etched in my heart.

You are not broken. You are not alone. And you don’t have to jump straight into IVF without first exploring what might be underneath the surface.

If this story resonates with you, I invite you to listen to our mini podcast series on fertility foundations and check out Nourish to Nurture. We’re passionate about helping women reclaim their power, understand their bodies, and support their fertility in ways that go beyond prescriptions and procedures.

You deserve answers. You deserve support. You deserve to feel hope again.

With love and solidarity, Kyndle
